Pirate Party!

Ahoy, mateys!

I absolutely loved this adventurous party for captain JR who turned 4!

The little pirates walked in to see this table filled with all of the pirate essentials.
Each child was able to find out their pirate name and write it on a name tag. They also received an eye patch and a pirate hat that they could decorate.

Then the hunt for treasure began!
They each received a handmade treasure map to guide them to the hidden treasure.
Then the scary part! Walking the plank!

The rest of the adventure consisted of fishing for treats, throwing canons at the natives, walking through crocodile ridge and then X MARKS THE SPOT!

After the treasure hunt the pirates were hungry so it was time to dig into the food.

I love this cupcake crocodile cake!

The birthday mate loved the cake too!

The kids each went home with their own bag of loot.

It was such a fun event and I can't wait for the opportunity to do another pirate themed party.

Happy Birthday JR!

Purple Dragon Party!

Did you say purple dragon party?!?

That is right!  A purple dragon party!  If you know Elizabeth (Ellie) then you know this is just her style!

Folks, I can't take any credit for this one.  Cathy (Ellie's mom) did all the work and she did an amazing job.  I've learned so much from her.

This is Ellie.  She is an adorable, strong-willed, silly little (new) 5 year old! Catching a good photo of her was difficult because of all the excitement.

She can also be a little shy around the camera (hence, the sad face).

Each child got their own dragon egg! Yes, a really dragon egg!

They also got their own pair of dragon wings.

The party was held at the Classic Fun Center where they have everything from skating, jungle gyms, and laser tag to bounce houses, arcade games and even a mechanical bull.  The kids were constantly on the go.  It was fun seeing them run around with their dragon wings and easy to spot them out in the swarm of kids.

Last but not least... a purple dragon cake!

Happy 5th Birthday Ellie!!!
